Policies and Procedures

  • Reservations

    To book a reservation with Fur Baby Comfort & Care, a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE deposit is required. The remaining balance must be paid on the first day of service. Please note that this balance will not be refunded under any circumstances, including cancellations or early returns/late departures.

  • Deposits & Cancellations

    All deposits are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. This policy is in place because our Pet Care Specialists dedicate themselves to specific dates and may decline other business opportunities due to your booking. Full refunds are not offered and credits will only be considered in unforeseen circumstances, such as a death in the family. If you need to cancel due to COVID-19 or other non-unforeseen events like bad weather, refunds and credits will not be granted. If you need to change your reservation, please notify us as soon as possible.

  • Late Departure & Early Return

    In the case of a late departure or early return, if you modify your reservation, you will still be liable for the initially booked visits due to scheduling commitments. No credits will be issued, and the original balance will remain unchanged.

  • Additional Accommodations

    Certain services may incur additional fees. For instance, if our Pet Care Specialist is required to provide care over a 4-to-5-hour timeframe, a daily fee of $125 will apply.

  • Last Minute Reservations

    For last-minute bookings, a consultation fee of $35 will apply for same-day meet and greets or those scheduled within 7 days of the service start date. During holiday weeks, this fee will increase to $65.

  • Additional Fees

    Extra charges may apply for services such as key retrieval, medication administration, holiday rates, or additional visits to help your pet adjust.

  • Vacation & Extended Care Services

    For vacation and extended care, we require daily visits for cats and a minimum of three visits per day for dogs to ensure their well-being. We do not offer every-other-day visits and do not permit job sharing, which would involve another person accessing your home during your absence.

  • Drop-In Visits & Dog Walking

    For drop-in visits and dog walking, we ask for at least 12 hours of advance notice, this policy is specifically for our Weekly Regulars. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in full charges.

  • Travel Extension/Contingency Care

    Unforeseen travel delays may affect pet care arrangements, and while we will strive to accommodate your needs, extensions for drop-ins or overnight care are not guaranteed. To mitigate potential issues, we recommend scheduling extra visits or booking an additional night of care beyond your expected return time. Please note that refunds will not be issued for any unused extra visits or nights if your travel plans proceed as scheduled.
